Apply a base coat to clean nails Apply two coats of Royal Cloak by Revlon Nail Polish Apply One coat of Starry Silver by NYC Nail Polish Finish with a sealer top coat. I prefer to use Poshe' Top Coat....it seals the nails and gives them a shellac like finish.
Today is Wednesday. The last few weeks on a Wednesday, I have been at the Thrift Shoppe searching for treasures. Today, I find myself home to organize my make-up and nail polish collections and to continue creating the perfect closet for me. My closet is small but I am making good use of what I have to work with and am happy with it. I will have to do a video or blog about it with pictures at some point in the future. My hope would be that I can share that you can make your closet functional even if it is small like mine.....so look for that here soon.
Back to the nail polish....This week I found some amazing polish colors and decided to share my look with you. I call it "Purple Madness."
If you watched my video in the last blog post, you would now that I am obsessed with the color purple at this time. If you have not seen the video, you can go to this link and watch it here: http://youtu.be/Ic61-8RrTxU With that in mind, I did a cute nail look that shows off my purple obsession mixed with grey and glitter to create a sparkly effect that really rocks!!!! Below are the colors I used.
I also wanted to share that my friend Denise created a terrarium and gifted it to me. I had no idea that this was coming.....I just LOVE it!!!!
She remembered that I wanted a cutting of the spider plant she was taking care of and so she cultivated it for me until it was ready to be planted. The vase she placed it in is rectangular which makes the terrarium look really interesting. In it, she placed lovely pink stones. It is truly amazing!!!! Did I mention I LOVE it? Speaking of Terrariums, I am making several of them to give as Christmas gifts. It is funny how Denise and I are on the same path of thought...so cool when you connect that way with your creative friends. Lastly, I found this gypsy bag at a recent visit to the Thrift Shoppe and had not yet shared it with you....so here it is! I will probably use it in my closet to store scarves or hosiery....may use it for gypsy potion supplies that I need for the perfume oils I create for my shoppe, I have not yet decided. Anyway, looking forward to Halloween, it will be here soon.
I finally was able to create another video of a recent Thrift Shopping Day!!! I am having so much fun not only Thrifting of course but making videos. I may be doing vlogs here in addition to my writing. I hope you enjoy the video...
I have so many ideas for other videos including tutorials on nails and make-up!!! Yes, you can say I have found a new way to share my ideas and life with you.
Today is the day!!!! It is the day for the Annual Halloween Blog Party hosted by Vanessa from Afancifultwist. I have been participating in this spooktacular event for the past few years now and it has always been such fun! For this years post, I have decided to share pictures of Halloween Costumes from the past.... Halloween has always been so much fun because it is so exciting to first decide what you would like to be and then dressing up to be that being. I love dressing up in costume!!! You can be so creative in how you put your costume together. I think the best costumes are the ones that are totally out of the ordinary. I love costumes that are created by using items that you would not normally think "Costume" and then putting them together to create something amazing. Check out these amazing costumes on The Martha Stewart website here: http://www.marthastewart.com/274774/no-sew-halloween-costumes/@center/276965/halloween?xsc=eml_crd_2011_09_21&#/end A good friend of ours who is also a musician has created this video for the season...this was the surprise I had promised.
It would be fun to listen to this music while getting dressed in your Halloween costume or preparing for a Halloween party. Please be sure to check out Topper's Youtube Channel for other creative and awesome video's. In addition, stop on over at Vanessa's party. You will be so glad that you did! Here is the link below: http://afancifultwist.typepad.com/
P.S. I would love your comments as to which of Martha's costumes are your favorites and of course your comments on my costumes pics. Hope you enjoyed the Party!!!!!
