The Color Brown and Romantic Richness

In my Last post, I spoke about my Thrift Shoppe finds and it seems that I had purchased several items that were of the color brown. I just love the color brown for Fall!!!! Mixing and matching clothing pieces and accessories to really pull together that special finished look. I wore the Mens' Wear high heel shoes the other day and have to say that "They were so comfortable!" I put them together with a pair of trouser jeans, a fitted top and a cardigan. I wish I would have taken a picture to share with you...it was a cute outfit that I had put together that day. I have a brown handbag that I can carry when I wear browns or sometimes I will carry my warm green and brown bag, it just depends on my mood.

My Hubby and I have a date night coming up soon. I am planning on wearing my new thrifted brown dressy pants that I showed in the video along with the brown long top with bell sleeves and the adorable rock and roll tank underneath. Also I will probably wear either a black pair of Mary Jane high heel shoes or my new thrifted brown flats. For a pop of color, I may carry my cranberry red snakeskin(faux of course) clutch. I am so excited for our date night!!!! We are going to see Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman in concert...so looking forward to it.
If you are looking to add the color brown to your fall wardrobe, visit my Etsy Shoppe. There I have a a couple of brown headbands available. I will share one of my favorites below

Oh oh oh A Happy and Perfect Day!

Another successful visit to the Thrift Shoppe this week....I am obsessed with Thrifting, what can I say? Who would not want to go treasure hunting? Oh my!!!! This time I found a great pair of high heel designer clogs, beautiful faery stationary and a few other household treasures.

I also have been wanting to polish my nails with this fabulous color for quite some time now. It is called "Wet Cement" by Sally Hanson. Of course, I have to add a sparkle of glitter to finish the look. those of you that follow my blog know that I adore glitter!!!

Lastly, I have been wanting to share this song with you.
It is such a happy song!!!!! I love it!!!!

It reminds me that there is truly magic all around us...you just have to be open to the beauty that surrounds you.

Have a lovely week.
Much Love,

Lovely Weekend Surprise.

This past weekend, our Band had a night off due to Our Lead Guitarist's scheduled surgery. So with a free day and evening to spend, Jimi and I took a little trip to Columbiana Ohio and stayed overnight. We had a Gift Certificate to use for The Dutch Village Inn. You can visit the website here: http://www.dasdutchvillage.com. Our room had a sitting area and a fireplace. We had the fire going all night and into the morning, it was so romantic and sweet.
It was one of the most relaxing get away's that we have had since our vacation in July. On the property, there are a few quaint little shops and a restaurant. We had a lovely dinner and Jimi bought me a charm for my charm bracelet at the jewelry shop. My bracelet is of the vintage type where the charms dangle from the links on the bracelet. The charm we picked this time, is a filigree heart that to me resembles the style of the Pennsylvania Dutch font. I love my new charm! Just so you know, I have been collecting charms for a very long time. Each time that we go somewhere special, we try to find a charm that commemorates the event or place we are at. I still have room to add on my bracelet, but it will soon be filled and at that time, I will then start one of those Pandora or "Pandora like" charm bracelets. I want to take a picture of my bracelet so you can see my collection of charms. That will have to be in an upcoming post. Hmmmm....it will be soon. I'll have pictures to post of this trip soon too.

Last time, I told you that I had found a couple of dresses at the Thrift Shoppe. I have a few pictures to share of one of the dresses now.

The other, I will share this week. I plan to wear it tomorrow. Please check back soon...I will try to have all the pictures promised.

Hope you too had a lovely weekend!
Much Love,

Today...Sweet I Say!

I know……I know….I have promised a surprise. I have not forgotten about that. It will be a bit longer than what I had planned as I have to edit and decide on photos for the post. So please, be patient with me and I promise to deliver. In the meantime, today I went shopping at our local craft store for a few supply’s that I need for Christmas gifts that I am making. Christmas, you say? It will be here before you know it. Anyway, I also went to one of my Favorite thrift stores and found a few really pretty half slips and a vintage lace camisole. Sweet I say!!!

I found an amazing knitting basket too. It was lined and even had pockets to store small needles and projects. The best part? It was only five bucks….oh yeah, that baby was mine!!!!

One itty bitty issue though...Mr. Jackson thinks that it is his.

Sorry Mr. Jackson, it belongs to me and my yarn.

Much Love,

♥♥♥

Shrug Your Shoulders

Last evening my Hubby and I went out. We had a really nice time. I decided to wear a shrug that I had created from a sweater that was thrifted quite some time ago. It is an old Navy striped sweater that I recycled. Thought that I would share it with you.

This was such an easy project. Materials are a sweater, a pair of scissors and a sewing machine. Really a sewing machine may not even be required depending on the sweater type. My sweater was 100% wool and did not require sewing. I could have done a lettuce edging by sewing a zig zag stitch around the raw edge…but I chose not to. I think it looks good with the raw edge exposed. Anyway, this is a super easy project and is a great way to keep your shoulders warm. Give it a try….find a great sweater and create something new to wear.

Much Love,
