Hello My Friends!

It was a lovely day spending time with my Family on Thanksgiving!  The food was so delicious and plentiful.  I captured a few photo's from the day to share.

I had hoped to take more photo's but I did not want to miss any of the precious Family time we were sharing.  My Step-Mom sent me home with so many treasures...She and Dad will be moving to Florida this Spring so they are slowly cleaning out their home and sharing their treasures with the family.  I cam home with beautiful baskets to add to my collection, a huge and gorgeous flowering Christmas Cactus and framed photo's of family memorabilia. 

Jimi and I will also be receiving several pieces of furniture that include my Dad's prized Oak Roll Top Desk.
We are going to have to make arrangements to move the furniture to our home..I can not wait!  What treasures I say♥

I am so thankful for having such a wonderful and amazingly Loving Family!  I am also thankful for all of the love and support that I have been given from you all as well.  Your Blessings to me have been amazing!! Thank you so much..I appreciate everyone of you so much more than you could really imagine! Just know that I do♥

The Gratitude Journal

 In the last post, I shared with you my plans to keep a gratitude journal...so far I have a couple of entries.  The entries are brief so it is really simple to write in daily...I send positive wishes to my self to continue my plan as I would like to have 365 entries by next Dec. 31st.  I know that not everyone will keep a gratitude journal but I came up with an idea so that we could all inspire each other and post what we are grateful for together. Reflection

It is so hard to think that time is flying by so fast.....The holidays are almost here!!! I am really excited about that!!!! Before we know it, we will be into the new Year 2013!!! Gosh, so many things have happened for me in this last year.  I am sure for all of you as well.  Many changes have taken place and with that, it seems so much for the better.  Of course at the time, it does not always feel that way.  I do believe that the universe has a way of  correcting itself and that everything happens for a reason in our lives.  We must always search for the good! Take one day at a time and not let the little things get to us.  I challenge you to reflect on the things that have happened in your life over this past year.  I hope that whatever you have gone through or are going through is correcting itself with the powers of your faith and determination to see all things for the better.

We all have a lot to be thankful for this year! Even if it seems that times are hard for you right now, try to think about what you are thankful or grateful for.  I once read that starting a gratitude journal is a good way to help us see the small stuff that happens daily in our lives.  Have any of you done this?  I think it is a great idea.  While we were on Vacation in Williamsburg Virginia, Jimi bought me a lovely pocket journal. They were all so pretty, it was hard to decide which one I wanted. With some deep thought,  I finally decided on the one in my right hand.

 As I type this, I am thinking that this beautiful little journal may just be the perfect place to start my own.  Yes, this is a good idea!!! I am for sure going to start a Gratitude Journal!!!

Welcome November

November has arrived!!!! Today I changed our mantel....


The glass vase holds a collection of corks that evokes memories of lovely pastimes and the abundance of a grateful heart. The feathers symbolize our gratitude for nature. The books symbolize our gratitude for the ability to learn and gain knowledge. The roses symbolize the beauty and fragility of life. The pine cone symbolizes our gratitude for trees and how they provide us clean air in which to breathe. The candles symbolize unity, light and spirituality. The potpourri and rocks symbolize the conservation of nature's beauty...and the pumpkin symbolizes the season and our gratitude to be able to grow things in our own little space we call call a garden.


November also welcomes planning and the creation of gifts for giving. I have been working hard on making lovely little things for friends and family. This is one of the gifts I am creating.



I am also creating new ornaments for our tree this year. I mentioned in one of my YouTube videos that we have a new kitty. She is so rambunctious so I need to have ornaments that will not be as breakable. I truly love this season!!!!
