The Enchanting Bookcase

I just bought a vintage bookcase from a friend of mine last week and have finally set it up with all of my books and a few lovely things.

It is really cool and quite enchanting! I am so happy that I have it now in my house for my book collection. The bookcase that I had before was not big enough and was crushing the spines of my books…not good.

So now, I have my Enchanting Bookcase. Quite enchanting I say as I love to be surrounded by books!!! So many books but not enough time…..It perfectly holds everything in an organized and beautiful manor. I can find what I am looking for easily and that……makes me Happy!!!!

Above the bookcase, I have placed a picture of sewing thimbles. The picture is actually a puzzle that I put together and decoupaged in order to frame it. I love the way it looks.

I am also adding my collection of Victoria, Home Companion, Romantic Country and Romantic Homes Magazines to the shelf. I have many magazines too. These magazines are so collectible although Home Companion is no longer in publication. If any of you are familiar, I am sure that you would agree with me that it is hard not to collect these magazines.

So there you have it…The Enchanting Bookcase…filled with all of my favorite books, magazines and some of my favorite treasures.

Much Love,

Go Green!

I found this really neat color of Green nail polish and wanted to share it with you!

Spring is here!!!! In honor of that, I have done my nails in this color and have added gold glitter on top for added detail.

I think it looks really nice…although green nails may not be your thing. I also found a great nail tutorial on how to do a “Strawberry Nails” technique. I cannot wait to try that! Below is the video.

With spring time now in our corner, it is time to think about rebirth, going green and thinking about making our world a better place. Plant some flowers or grow a garden, start something new! The sun is shining and you can make a difference on this earth…..reuse, recycle, make less waste, be creative and most importantly, take good care of yourself! The world is truly a beautiful place.

Much love,

Reminiscing

I have been thinking lately about the trip to DC that My Hubby and I took last May. It was my Birthday week which made the trip extra special. We took a train. It was the first time I have ever taken a train..oh it was really wonderful!!!

I had the most amazing time, we both did!

Our stop to Union Station was indescribable. It was like a huge mall with so many interesting shops and restaurants…if you ever have a chance to go there, plan on spending some time to check it all out. Below is the website so you can get an idea of what it is like. http://www.unionstationdc.com

This year, we are going to Arizona and South Carolina…not by train though.

We will definitely have to take a train somewhere again, as I am in love with that form of travel. I am thinking New York…would be fabulous to visit there and check out Grand Central Station!

I encourage you to take a train ride if you have not…it is so amazing to see the scenery from a train. You get to see things that you would not from a car. Honestly it is really hard to put into words. To me it was breath taking and has become a beautiful memory….cannot wait to do that again!!!!!

Have a lovely week.

Much love,
