Christmas at The Miller's

What a Christmas this was!!!!! Lovely times with Family and Friends. Memories made and good times had. I can not believe it is over, it has come and gone so quickly this year, I feel as though It just crept up and snuck out in a blink. My favorite memory from this year was the Candle Light Service at our Church. Our Pastor reads the biblical story of Jesus birth and at the end of the story, the entire congregation holds up a lit white candle. There is nothing but silence for about five minutes and then the our Pastor tell us to "go in peace". It is truly so beautiful!!!! I look forward to that quiet moment every single year. It really touches me.
I also want to share a few pictures of Christmas at our house. I wanted to take more but there was so much going on and I did not want to miss anything!!! It was a wonderful Christmas!

Hope yours was just as lovely!

Much Love,

Oh Christmas Tree and A Simple Nail Tutorial

I was able to get a few more pictures of our tree this year when the lighting was right in my house. I sometimes have that issue, the lighting is not always at its best in the room or rooms where I wish to shoot a video or take pictures. Anyway, I lucked out and the time was right, so I can share these pictures with you. I think our tree looks so beautiful this year. I really enjoyed making our new Hand-Made ornaments. If you have watched my first Thrift Shoppe Video on Youtube, you will know what inspired our tree this year. If you have not, visit my Channel and look for "My Thrift Shoppe Finds".

I also wanted to include a simple nail tutorial that is great for the holiday season. It is not the traditional red or candy cane or even the Christmas nails in design but a simple clean look that will get you through wrapping presents, opening cards and gifts without chipping or looking worn. I call it, "Rose Pink nails with a hint of glitter".

First make sure nails are clear of any traces of polish.
Next use the Rose Pink and apply two coats of an even application.
Now apply two thin coats of glitter to the tips of nails only.
Let dry for about a minute and finish with a clear top coat.

This simple yet pretty look will get you through the holiday season looking great.
I used:
* Rose Pink by LA colors(it is part of the L.A. Colors Rose Pink French manicure kit)
*Sassy Sparkle by LA colors
*Poshe' Top Coat
**The Rose Pink is so sheer that it is almost clear, it provides just a hint of natural pink color.

Have a Merry Christmas and I will be back soon with highlights from "Christmas at the Millers"

Much Love,

One Week Left

Christmas will soon be here!!!! I can not believe it...still have so much to do. It is all good though, I know that I will get it done. So far, I have accomplished quite a bit...handmade ornaments, gifts and some wrapping. I am planning to finish up by Christmas Eve. This year, the kids will not be here on Christmas Eve so I will still have that day and night to do all the last minute things.

My December Victoria Magazine has arrived and is so lovely!!! Do you get Victoria Magazine? If not, I so recommend it! It is one of those magazines that makes you feel warm inside and totally relaxed when reading it or looking through all of it's glorious pages. Just take a look at a few here.

This weekend, we celebrated a Family Tradition of which I want to share with you. We call it "Trivus Christmas"

Also, I hope to write a Whimsy Wednesday post this week and share a few more pics of our tree before Christmas. I must run off...... as said before, still have so much to do, I can relate to the elves.

Have a lovely Day.

Much Love,

Whimsy Wednesday bringsTerrariums

I have been wanting to make Terrariums for quite some time now. I purchased all the supply's needed several months ago. Some of the glass vases were thrifted and others I had in my collection at home. So...last night, I finally put together my Terrariums. They are going to be gifts this Christmas for some special people in my life. You know I can not say who because they will know what they are getting when they read this post. Anyway, I thought I would share them with you.

They were so much fun to make and I think they came out really nice. I decided that I want to make a couple more since I am on this roll. Below is a really nice tutorial video that I had found on Youtube.

If you decide to give it a try, this is very simple to follow. Please let me know if you have made Terrariums. I would love to hear about it and would love to see pics too.

Christmas is almost here....can you believe it?
The Band has been doing a few Christmas tunes lately...here is one of them, I hope you enjoy.

Weekend Getaway

This weekend Jimi and I had dinner with friends on Friday and on Saturday, we spent the night at The Marriott. It was a Suite getaway I would say!!!! Literally, we stayed in a lovely suite....it was truly romantic!!! We had a great time. It is so nice to sneek away with the Hubby...those quiet times we share are really special and oh so magical.

I hope your weekend was special too.

Much Love,
