Food and Friendship

My Friend Donna and I have not been able to spend time together in quite a while.  We are both so busy and especially in the Summer it seems.  Anyway, Donna and I were able to have a breakfast meeting last week to catch up on things!  Breakfast was so yummy!!! We both ordered the same thing.

We both have Birthday's in May and had not had time to exchange our gifts either so we finally did at our meeting.

 Also, For those of you that follow me; you know that Donna and I sometimes film DIY's together for my YouTube Channel...  we were able to plan our next project for filming at our breakfast meeting too.  Please stay tuned for it here: http://www.youtube.com/miladyleela 

I would have to say it was not only a productive meeting but it was a great time enjoying Food and Friendship with my Lovely Friend Donna!

Musical Update.

Today I have updated the opening music here on my Blog!  Once again Thanks to my Dear Friend Topper Fralick who has created this Fantasy Piece for me!  I am preparing to visit the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival soon and will capturing Photographs as well as filming a Video to share with all of you.  I had asked Topper to be a part of the musical aspect of my vision and as usual, he has come up with something so very amazing!! Tea Party Time!!!!

Hello My Lovely Friends!  Welcome to my Tea Party!!!!  Those of you that know me, know that I enjoy Drinking Tea, Tea Party's and Books about Tea Party's....So for this year's 6th Annual Mad Hatter Tea Party, I have chosen to share with you several lovely Books that I really enjoy and reference quite often.
The First one is a book by Tracy Stern.

 Oh Me Oh My.....You will find a section for creating your own Mad Hatter Tea Party!!!

Next up...who does not love a Country Tea Party?  This book is by Maggie Stuckey.

Inside this beautifully illustrated book is a collection of themed Tea Party's according to the months of the year....July is Tea and Roses♥

Now envision yourself in a Floral Garden for an Afternoon Tea Party.  This next book is by Susannah Blake.

Now for the Perfect Afternoon Tea...How about this Recipe Book by Antony Wild and Carol Pastor.

 

 The Recipe's and the Photo's in each of these books are so delightful!!!! Perhaps you could take a day to spend time in a book store and browse through them.  I can bet that you will come home with at least one!  If so, let me know..I would love to hear what you think♥

So....I have also a video for you to enjoy.  I filmed this back in January and speak about the tea's I was loving then and still do enjoy.



Since we are into the Summer Solstice, I am drinking a lot of Iced Tea's.  I have been making all sorts of yummy concoctions.  Currently, I an enjoying a fresh pitcher of Earl Grey Tea.  It is so yummy either alone or with a bit of cream.  My method for iced tea is very simple, I fill up a pitcher with hot water...add three to four tea bags and let it steep.  Sometimes, I will put the pitcher outside to sit in the sun.  Either way, it turns out  perfect every time. I recommend to remove the tea bags as soon as the color is what you enjoy....light for a weaker tea and dark for a strong tea.  I prefer a stronger Tea myself.

How do you make your Iced Tea? What is your favorite? Have a recipe to share for the perfect Iced Tea Blend?

Celebrating!

Hello there Friends! This past week was a Celebration!  My Jimi turned 60 years old on July 2nd. and Celebrate we did!!!! Look for a "Day In The Life" vlog on my YouTube Channel soon but for now, I will share some Photo's!  I do believe that Jimi had a Great Celebration!!!! On the day of his Birthday, I took him to dinner and on a sightseeing cruise of our Lovely City!

Next.....A lovely Sightseeing Cruise of our City!

The next day, we celebrated more with a day at the Rivers Casino and a Concert featuring Beatle Mania Magic!

and Finally on the Third Day, July 4th....

A day at PNC Park for a Pittsburgh Priates Game against the Philadelphia Phillies with Friends...Marty and Denise Costanza.

....Then back to the Rivers Casino for more fun!

We finished out the day with another Concert...this time a Tribute to Rod Stuart.

and of course....Fire works over our Pittsburgh Three Rivers~

It was truly a Grand Time celebrating 60 years of Jimi's Life!

Sweet Surprises

Hello there my Friends!  This has been a very good week!  The Trio Band was booked Thursday Night through Saturday and The full Band on Sunday!
Sweet Surprise no.1
 On Thursday night, Cathy and Mike who follow our Trio gifted me with the most beautiful and thoughtful gift!  They both know that I make Jewelry and have watched my YouTube Video's to know that I enjoy searching for bits and baubles so when I was on break, They presented me with a bag full of vintage costume jewelry and beads!!! It had once belonged to Cathy's Grand-Mother who had recently passed away. I was so taken back that they would think to give me such a thoughtful gift.  What a treasure!  Cathy said that she knows her Grand-Mother would be so happy that I would enjoy having this gift and that I would appreciate it too.  I do for sure!!! When I got home that night, I picked out the pieces that I wanted to keep and sorted the rest for my Gypsy Jewelry Designs.

Sweet Surprise no.2
I was asked by a friend of mine to have my Jewelry Designs on consignment in her Beauty and Wellness Spa...Her Grand Opening was yesterday and two pieces of my Jewelry have already sold! I am super excited to have my Jewelry on display there...the shop is so Earthy and Zen..it truly fits the style of my designs.  In addition...have I mentioned that I will be doing Nails there at the spa?  I do not think I did...so yeah, I will be there on Monday's starting July 15th and am super excited!  Getting back to my Jewelry....it is the first shop that I have my work in and it makes me so happy that my pieces are already selling!  Now I need to look for other shops to place my Jewelry in. Know of any that I could look into?
