Kitchen Spells~ Today it is Stuffed Pepper Time

Hello My Lovelies,
It has been a while since I have been here...so so much has been going on!
Jimi had to have a procedure done in the hospital that consumed us and my energy. Taking care of him is and always is my Priority so that is why I have been absent here.
We are home now and as he is healing, I wanted to create something for him that would be filled with positivity and goodness! He has been wanting Stuffed Peppers and today was the day for just that.
This Kitchen Spell is one that is simple and full of lots of Purposeful Intent for love and Healing.  I thought I would share with you some chit chat while I created it and have done so in a two part video.

Blackberry Fruit Salad ~ A Kitchen Spell

This time of year especially, I am always wanting Fresh Fruits! Creating a Fruit Salad satisfies that craving while providing a healthy snack, meal or side dish.

Here is a quick recipe for Fruit Salad that I literally put together in a flash using things I had in my kitchen.

Blackberry Fruit Salad ~
A Kitchen Spell by Dena K.Miller

Ingredients:
1 cup of Blackberries
2 Delicious Apples cored and sliced
Fresh Peaches
Fresh Pears
 maraschino cherries
1/4 cup of fruit juice of your choice
*you can use a jar or can of fruit cocktail as a sub for the last four ingredients.
*Optional 1/4 tsp of cinnamon or ginger and Fresh Mint for garnish


How to:
Toss all ingredients together and place into a beautiful serving bowl.
Sprinkle with spice if desired and garnish with fresh mint.

For that magical touch...add your intention of Love and Blessings for those whom you are serving.

A Kitchen Spell ~ Crispy Turkey Breast

Thanksgiving was wonderful for our Family this year.  Jimi and I spent the day with our children and I cooked a delicious meal!  I decided on a Turkey Breast this year instead of the whole Turkey and It was just perfect.  I also prepared cranberry/orange sauce, corn, brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes.  My oldest daughter baked a pumkin pie for dessert and it was the perfect finishing touch!

I have to say that the Turkey Breast was so perfect...crispy on the outside and moist on the inside...just the way it should be in my opinion!  I decided to share my recipe for that perfect combination.

Crispy Turkey Breast ~ A "Kitchen Spell"
 by Dena K. Miller

Ingredients:
6lb Turkey Breast
Hawaiian  Black Salt
Olive Oil
Poultry Seasoning
Crushed Black Pepper Mix
Rosemary
Thyme
Cinnamon
Ginger

How To:
Assemble all of the above ingredients together.
Rinse the Turkey Breast with cold water and pat dry.
Next coat the Turkey Breast with olive oil to coat.
Add the remaining ingredients using approx 1 to 1 and 1/2 tsp. of each and rub into the Turkey Breast.
Place into a preheated 350 degree oven uncovered for about 2 and 1/2 to 3 hours.  Cover with foil if not done for additional time as long as the outer skin is brown and crispy.

I Feel A Kitchen Spell Coming On!

 

I am hoping that you all had the most Magical Thanksgiving Holiday; for those of you that celebrate here in the States, this past Thursday!!

Mine was very special, celebrating with family and delicious food.

So, with that being said, I have decided to share with you my recipe for making your Turkey oh so Yummy!!!

~Kitchen Spells~ Cinnamon Topped Butternut Squash

Hello Friends!!! It has been a while since I have posted a ~Kitchen Spell~.  I seem to get into the Spirit at this time of year.  So with that being said, I want to share one of my easiest recipe's that is an Autumn favorite!!!!  A few weeks ago, Jimi and I spent time on The Seeber Farm. 

Our Friends, Robin and Roger are always so gracious and send us home with the most wonderful goodies.

 

Yummy and bountiful goodies...fresh from their garden.
Notice the Butternut Squash?  I have a simple recipe that is so easy, I know you will want to make this all the time!!!

~Cinnamon Topped Butternut Squash~
A Kitchen Spell by Dena K. Miller

Ingredients as follows:
1 large butternut squash cut in half
Cinnamon
1 cup of water(approx)

How To:
Carefully cut the squash in half width wise.
Place both halves into a crockpot and turn on to the low setting
Pour water into the bottom of the crockpot filling to the middle of the squash halves.
Finally, sprinkle the tops of each squash with cinnamon and place lid onto crockpot.
Cook on low for about 4 to 5 hours or until squash is tender.
When done, remove from crockpot and place onto a cutting board or plate.
Scoop out the squash and plate...add butter or sour cream and enjoy!!

....and that is it!!! This is super easy and can be cooking while you are doing other things.  It is so yummy, I know you will agree!

"Kitchen Spells" Organization in the Kitchen

I have been wanting to do some Organizing in my Kitchen for quite some time.  With that idea in mind, I have created a new "Kitchen Spell." This recipe is one that will make you feel a great sense of accomplishment and will nourish your Spirit.

Organizing your Kitchen Cabinets
A "Kitchen Spell" by Dena K. Miller

Ingredients:
Kitchen Cabinets
Cleaning products (preferably natural products)
Shelf Liner Paper, Wall Paper or Place Mats 
(I used place mats from the Dollar Tree)
Measuring Tape
Time
Energy
Spirit

How To:
Take out all of your dishes, pots and pans etc.
Plan your space...measure the inside of your cabinets either with a measuring tape of you can eye ball it.
Next clean the inside of your cabinets and wipe them dry.
If using either wall paper or shelf liner paper, cut to fit the inside of your cabinets.

Place the liners inside the cabinets and re-stock with your dishes, etc.

Step back and take a look at how amazing your cabinets are now!  Pour your favorite beverage, sit back and pat yourself on the back for a job well done!

I know that you will feel Amazing after doing this...there is something to be said about a clean and organized space, it provides such Positive Energy for your Spirit!

It's A Mad Tea Party Kitchen Spell

Come along and join me...

                                         A Kitchen Spell is Brewing!!!!

 Our tea is steeping.

 I would like to start with my Tea Iced....how about you?

 Now, let's get to mixing ....

 ...so we can bake a spicy and sweet treat.

 Oh so yummy and good to eat!

 How about some Gunpowder Green...have you ever tried it?  It is bold and strong...I will put the kettle on!

 Don't you just adore that cute little tea stainer?  It's a Tea House!!!

 Ready for sugar?  I will get you a spoon.

 Lovely Tea Pots, Treasures and Herbs adorn the room.

 So many Tea Cups...it is sometimes hard to choose.

 Shall we take our Tea Outside?

 Let's get the Kitty Committee Involved ....They don't need to hide.

 Come Mister Jackson, Midi and Zoey Beth...it will be fun!

 Run to the catnip...make sure you get some.  I can prepare some Catnip Tea for us too...it truly makes an interesting brew.

If you would like, we will go back inside....
 Making Magic in the kitchen is the perfect pastime!

Kitchen Spells ~ Happy Home Blessings

It is time for another "Kitchen Spell" I say!  This time,  I am sharing a recipe for ~ Happy Home Blessings.
I came up with this concoction for my two daughters when we celebrated their Birthday Tea.  I have a post about the Birthday Tea, and you can read it here:http://theenchantingworldofmiladyleela.blogspot.com/2014/03/a-birthday-tea-party.html

With my two Beauties in mind, I created this "Spell" if you will for their Birthdays to manifest a Happy Home and a day filled with Love for them while they visited...in essence, I created for them a Happy Birthday Love Spell♥
I used my Oil Burner for this "Kitchen Spell" to not only keep it simple but to make my Kitchen smell absolutely amazing!!!  Everyone knows that when you have a party, all congregate in the kitchen!  That is the place where the Magic Happens!

  

Happy Home Blessings

A Kitchen Spell~ by Dena K. Miller

Ingredients:
One Oil Burner
one tea light candle
10 drops of French Lavender Oil for Love and Healing
10 drops of Rosemary Oil for Strength and Empowerment
4 drops of my own special blend of  what I call "Gypsy Magic" Oil  for Binding the above ingredients. You can use cinnamon in this recipe as a substitute.

How to:
Place all ingredients into the top of the oil burner and as you do this visualize the love and blessings you will be creating for your home and family.

Next light your tea light candle and place it under the oil burner to heat up the concoction. As you do this continue your visualization of your Happy Home♥

Your mind set will bring forth blessings to not only those in you home but to yourself as well.  This concoction with it's aromatherapy and your intent will bring blessings of love, empowerment and peaceful happy home.

I have to say that we all had a very joyous day that day and yes, my Kitchen smelled amazing!!!
