Reminiscing

I have been thinking lately about the trip to DC that My Hubby and I took last May. It was my Birthday week which made the trip extra special. We took a train. It was the first time I have ever taken a train..oh it was really wonderful!!!

I had the most amazing time, we both did!

Our stop to Union Station was indescribable. It was like a huge mall with so many interesting shops and restaurants…if you ever have a chance to go there, plan on spending some time to check it all out. Below is the website so you can get an idea of what it is like. http://www.unionstationdc.com

This year, we are going to Arizona and South Carolina…not by train though.

We will definitely have to take a train somewhere again, as I am in love with that form of travel. I am thinking New York…would be fabulous to visit there and check out Grand Central Station!

I encourage you to take a train ride if you have not…it is so amazing to see the scenery from a train. You get to see things that you would not from a car. Honestly it is really hard to put into words. To me it was breath taking and has become a beautiful memory….cannot wait to do that again!!!!!

Sending Notes

I have always loved the idea of sending a note to someone through the mail rather than electronically with an email or social network. It is very special to receive a hand written letter or note from a friend who took the time to carefully pen their thoughts on paper. I have always collected beautiful stationary and the sort through the years….I love invitational stationary and seem to have quite a collection of that. So with the thought of Beautiful stationary in mind, I have decided to add a collection to my Etsy Shoppe.

I have already placed one collection into the Shoppe and now will have an additional collection available.

The cards would make a lovely gift for either yourself or a friend. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Valentine's Day Memories

This year I decorated our mantel with a collection of cards from this year and last year’s Valentine’s Day. Also included my waxed and dried roses, lovely smelling potpourri, candles and the doves that were a gift from our Valentine’s Day wedding…Yes, we were married on Valentine’s Day! So romantic!

The silver box pictured was a gift this Christmas from my Hubby. It was filled with Victoria Secret Perfume…Heavenly, my favorite scent from that store. I think it will make a wonderful keepsake box for all of our Valentine and anniversary cards.

Oh and pretty Valentine Flowers from my Hubby.

On another note, I have mentioned in previous posts that I had been very stressed…well I have made an important change in my life and this past week, have finally been able to breathe! Ahh….I finally feel such relief! There will be some adjustments that I need to make in regard to this change but all in all; my emotional well being has been restored. I am so lucky to have such a loving husband to help me through. He is my rock, my love, my friend, my Valentine!!!! I do not know how I would get through some of life’s challenges without him.

Oh…almost forgot, I mentioned that I made a pill box hat to wear on Valentine’s Day…

My Valentine

My Valentine!!!! My Love, My everything!!!! My Hubby and I celebrated our Anniversary at the most quaint little restaurant. We were married on Valentine’s Day….to me, that is romantic in itself. On this Valentine's Day, we had a lovely time. We exchanged cards gifts and shared again another sweet memory. Hope your Valentine’s Day was a lovely as mine!

A Quiet Little Get-Away

This spot is always a quiet little get-away....my life has been so stressed lately...I need to get back to some peace. Funny, I was thinking today how life twists and turns and sometimes becomes so entirely hectic that you have no energy to even think about things anymore....you just go through the motions of everyday. One day, it all comes to the surface, a change is made or something happens...the stress ends and you can breath once again. I am so looking forward to that time. My saving grace is knowing that I am not the only one that has ever experienced this.
Looking forward to Valentine's Day!!!!!! My hubby and I celebrate our Anniversary. This year we are going to a new place to celebrate...It boasts to be very romantic...I'll post about it, you can bet!
Lastly, I went to see Camelot with my Family last Sunday.
It was an incredible performance. It touched me so to see the cast following their bliss...I am working on doing just that! Following my Bliss that is. Don't forget to follow yours!
