Whimsy Wednesday...Dreaming of Spring

Feel like a tea party anyone? Sweet dreams of spring and time in the garden…It is so much fun to set up a table outdoors to enjoy a bit of nature.

I love to see the snow when it is pretty and white but ahhh, the idea of warm springtime days…soon to arrive.

Starlight winter’s night….show us the moon so bright.

Let the magic you hold so dear, bring us days with sky’s so clear.

Dreaming of Spring….

Much Love,

A Christmas Poem

Christmas Pleasures, Christmas Joys, Christmas Presents, Christmas Toys.

Making memories with family and friends, reminiscing the traditions that this season lends.

Beauty and faith in a world brought to light, by the birth of our savior so mighty and bright.

Keep the spirit and the magic of Christmas always in your heart, let love and peace be yours right from the start.

I hope that all of you had an absolutely lovely Christmas!

Much Love,

Whimsy Wednesday French Tips…ooh la la!

Start with clean unpolished nails. Using a pink block buffer, gently buff, file and smooth nails. Brush off nail dust and begin by applying a clear base coat. Next apply two thin coats of a sheer French pink or beige. I personally like to use pink. Now using a white polish, carefully apply to tips of nails. Using a steady hand, brush polish from one side of tip to the other. If you are not able to do this, you can purchase nail stencils to guide you. Here is a hint, do not worry if you have short nails, you can create a faux tip using the white polish. Let dry for a few minutes and then apply one more light coat of the French pink or beige up to and over the white polish. Finish with a clear sealer over the entire nail. I like to use Poshe'.

And there you have it…a beautiful French tip look.

Much Love,

Together...Through The Wood

Come my love. Let’s make a path through the wood. I’ll have a lantern to light the way. Together we will find our way through the dark, through the vastness of this big world. Together we can make all things possible. Together we will be free, free to be what it is that we are destined to be. Don’t be afraid as together we are protected. We are strong. We will find the destiny that calls to us. Shhh, can you hear it? A voice calls to us from the wood. Something about it seems so uncertain but whatever it is, it will be revealed. Time, my love, patience, hope and faith…we will make it through the wood.

~~Dena K. Miller

The above poem has a certain meaning to me as there are things on the horizon of my life that are uncertain. It is ok though, all will work out the way it is meant to be. Life always has its twists and turns, that is and always will be.

Now….Christmas!!!! Yay! I am so excited. We celebrated yesterday with my family at my Dad’s house. Every year, the Saturday before Christmas! It is a tradition that is long standing. The whole family is there with the kids. We exchange gifts, have a wonderful meal and celebrate bunches of holiday cheer. I did miss seeing my oldest Son. He moved to Iowa this past summer and was not able to make it in for our Celebration. He won’t be with us at Christmas either. I do miss him. He is well though and building a new life with his girlfriend. Ahh, yes, children do grow and need to expand their horizons.

So, here on the home front, still a lot to do in preparation for the Holiday. I have a few more projects to finish up specifically my grand baby’s blanket and Christmas stocking. I decided to make it from a bedspread I no longer use. It will be quilted and really sweet. Of course I have some more wrapping to do and that should be it. This year, I will be cooking Christmas dinner and looking forward to enjoying a very special Christmas Day with my family.

I hope to post a Wednesday Whimsy and then of course, I will definitely post next Sunday with Joyous Christmas happenings from the Miller home.

Blessings to all of you!

Much Love,

Glitzy Nails Tutorial * Whimsy Wednesday

Start with clean unpolished nails. Brush on a base coat.

Next polish with white over the entire nail bed. May need two coats.

With the silver striper brush polish, brush an angled line across the nail from base to tip.

Finish with a clear top coat….I like to use Poshe’.

A lightly glittered top coat can also be used to finish the look.

Wrap a small piece of cotton around an orange wood stick, dip into nail polish remover and clean up any messy’s around the cuticles and sides of nails.

There you have it..Perfectly polished Glitzy Nails.

**You can apply a clear top coat every other day to keep your nails looking fresh and shiny.

Hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and have fun with it.

Much Love,

It Is Good To Be Queen

Ahhh, the life of a very spoiled and loved kitty. She has it so good!

Pampered always and gets to lounge around all day in her pretty little fur coat. Hmmm….what a life! I just had to post this pic of her, she is just so special! Yeah, can ya tell, I spoil her. For Christmas this year, she is getting a new glittered collar with a hot pink jingle bell. Haha, my hubby thinks I am crazy for that “she can’t stand to hear that bell around her neck, how would you like it?” He says. Oh but she must like it or she would try to get it off…that is what I say. She wore a collar last year and did just fine. So there!

On another note…lalalala….Our Band is doing amazing things! We have been booked every weekend and very busy learning new material. We just hired someone to run our lights and we have finally found a good sound man! Yay!

Dreams to have Music and Art be my entire world and to give up Corporate America are and will be forever in my heart and soul! I am working on that dream to happen!

Also a glimpse of my Gypsy Jewelry line….thought I might be finished but then had another idea for further embellishment! Oh the brain is always working….yes it would be good to be Queen for a day…just like my little pampered kitty…slow down, take it easy, rest. Nah, I do not have time for that.

So with that in mind…I am off to work on Christmas projects, more shopping and creative Christmas wrapping.

Much Love,
