Whimsy Wednesday and Strawberry Nails

A while back I had posted a cute nail tutorial video that I had found. It is entitled “Strawberry Nails.”

I decided to create this look on my own nails and wanted to share it with you.

I used 4 colors and in order of technique they are as follows:

1) Red Hot by Mary Kay Cosmetics

2) San Francisco (283) by Sinful Colors

3) Snowflake (speed dry) by Avon

4) Wet n Wild (wild shine) color # 469

Remember to use a base coat first and finish with a top coat.

In the video, it does not show a sparkle polish as part of the tutorial….that is something I have added because I love sparkle!!!!!! I think that by adding it to this look gives it a special touch and makes it even better!

Here is the link to the Strawberry Nail Tutorial post: http://theenchantingworldofmiladyleela.blogspot.com/2011/03/normal-0-false-false-false-en-us-x-none.html

I must share this with you too…Yippee, Yay I am so excited I must say!!!!

My Friend Vanessa over at A Fanciful Twist is hosting her 4th Annual Mad Tea Party. I have participated in the last 2 so this will be my third year. I will be busy creating a Magical Tea Party of my own and will share it with you here. You can visit her at http://www.afancifultwist.typepad.com and take a peek at what she is brewing..Ha! Take that for Tea Party Humor. I know I know…I can be so dorky sometimes.

Anyway, next time I have some amazing pictures to share of my Lovely City and a fun filled event that Our Band participated in.

See you here real soon and….

Much Love,

Whimsy Wednesday On A Thursday

I polished my nails the other day with a few glittery polishes that I love. I think the combination turned out nice.

I Call it Tricolor Nails

~~~~~~
Start with clean nails.
Begin with a clear base coat.
Next, with the gold polish, my choice is Wet and Wild Fast Dry "The Gold and the Beautiful".
I recommend polishing with this color on the entire nail surface...it is just easier that way.
Now, use the blue polish, again my choice is Wet and Wild Fast Dry "Teal of Fortune".
This color is to be placed only from the middle of the nail to the free edge...do not worry about mistakes, it can be cleaned up later and should have a free form look anyway.
Next up using Art Deco from LA nail Colors "Silver Glitter", polish a horizontal line to join the blue and gold together.
Finally using Poshe' top coat for a glassy and shiny finish, polish the entire nail surface to seal your work.
There you have it....Tricolor Nails. Hope you enjoyed the tutorial.
Just a thought, you could do this look by using your Home Town School or Football Team colors...would be super cool!!!!!
Much Love,
My Birthday Weekend
My Birthday was Saturday.
The Band played Friday night, Saturday night and straight into Sunday morning of which we did a 4 hour show at the Pittsburgh Marathon. There was no sleep until noon that day. Jimi bought me the most adorable cake for my Birthday... it was a Cinderella cake. He calls me Lacey, so in case you were wondering about the cake picture above...that's me...tee hee!
I also received a surprise visit from a floral delivery man who handed me the most beautiful Lilly and Carnation bouquet. My Jimi….every year he gives me flowers; and each year, the bouquet is so beautiful! The Band mentioned my birthday so many times and did the Beatles “Birthday” song for me after midnight on Friday.
I got to see my Brother who sang with me on stage and my Sister – In –Law too.
My sweet little niece made me a cupcake and had it hand delivered by my Brother.
It was truly a fantastic weekend!!!!!
I also got the chance to post my Hammered Metal and Peal Bracelet in the Shoppe…..check it out @ http://www.miladyleela.etsy.com
Hmmm….was just thinking that last year for my Birthday, we took a train to Washington DC. How wonderful that was …my how time flies.
I still have yet to paint the Tinkerbell ornaments that Jimi gave me. Hmmm…new project.
One last thing to mention, I was finally able to get together with my friend Candy for a day of crafting….
I have started to make a pair of lovely Faery Wings. They are in the beginning stages, as I have to add paint, glitter, flowers, ribbon and any other embellishment that comes to mind. More pics of my finished project on that in the near future. I simply cannot wait to finish them and share them with you. Do stop by Candy’s blog for a peek at her finished Faery Wings…they turned out so pretty!!!!
Whimsy Wednesday
I had to share some pictures of our day trip yesterday....My Hubby and I had such a delightful time browsing through all the interesting shoppe's and boutiques. The humming bird tree above was so sweet and magical.
...and look at this chair and pillows, Oh how I would love to have them in my home.
Check out this chair and ottoman set...it is made out of recycled newspaper and magazines. We sat in it to test it's comfort ability. It was so surprisingly comfortable and yet another group of furnishings that I would love to have in my home. Wow, I say...talk about recycling and reusing. I love that!!!!!! So darn creative too!!!
One more thing that I want to share today is this nail tutorial that I came across.....super cool! I can not wait to try it on my own nails. I plan on it, so I will have to post pictures of that for you in the near future.
Much Love,
Creative and Spiritual Inspiration
The Band returned back to Pittsburgh from Chicago as planned last Friday. What an incredible experience we had. We competed along with 10,000 other acts. We were not selected but the opportunity alone was amazing!!!! Traveling with the Band was so much fun and I can speak for all of us that we look forward to many more road trips.
My Hubby and I are now in Sedona Arizona. We have come here for some creative and spiritual inspiration. I am so in awe of the beauty of this land!
Words can describe just how amazing it is here. I am drawn to this place like no other. It use to be that the ocean was that place for me...well the beauty of the ocean still captures me but this place, oh my...it just takes my breath away.
We plan on visiting the Grand Canyon this week....I can not wait! Will have pictures to post very soon.
Much Love,
♥♥♥
