Autumn Inspiration

A bit of Autumn Inspiration for me is found in this adorable outfit.

I love the idea of taking a summer sun dress, adding a jacket and a pair of boots to create an easy going, casual look for the Autumn Season. This gets me thinking about my own wardrobe and how I can mix and match the pieces I already own. Lots of fun I say! Honestly, I usually only purchase clothing that can be carried into the next season. It not only is economical but it saves me from having to swap out my wardrobe each season. Of course, sometimes I may see something for a particular season that I just have to have...and then, well you know, I will make an exception to my strategy.

I also wanted to share another inspiration of mine....these beautiful dried roses and collection of corks that sit upon my mantel.

I just love the earthy and natural look of it all. Each cork by the way, has been a bottle of wine of ours. My Hubby and I have been collecting corks for a very long time. I really need to find another Vase to store them in as my collection is still growing. Who knows, maybe someday I will use those corks for a really cool project. I once saw a kitchen that had wine bottle corks as the back splash behind the counters. It was absolutely so creative and incredible to look at!!! Of course the roses, well they are and will always be an inspiration to me.
Their beauty enchants me! Each time I receive a bouquet of roses, I dry them and use them all around my house. To me, they are just as lovely dried as they are fresh.

I hope that the Autumn Season brings inspiration into your world...let the enchantment begin!

Much Love,

Yesterday's Lunch

Yesterday was a very productive day. I finished designing a few treasures that are soon to be in the Milady Leela Shoppe, took pictures of them and enjoyed my peaceful day. The house was so quiet, the weather outside was nice, not sunny but nice. I must say that on days like this, the lighting in my house is what some would say, not the greatest. I however sometimes love that kind of lighting as it evokes a coziness and peacefulness to the house. I decided to take a couple pictures of how the lighting on these days comes through my windows. I think it looks very serene and I love it!
For lunch on this quiet, peaceful and productive day, I made myself a delicious meal of spinach and feta stuffed pierogies. So yummy!!!

Today, I spend my time uploading the pictures of my Shoppe treasures, editing and writing descriptions for each. I better get to business....Hope you are having a beautiful day.

Much love,

Something Yummy!!!

The other day, I decided that I wanted to make Meatloaf for dinner but wanted something a bit different than the usual so I created this recipe and wanted to share it with you.

Cranberry Mozzarella Meatloaf

½ cup Cranberries

¼ cup Mozzarella cheese

1 cup Oatmeal

1 large Onion chopped

2 eggs

¼ cup of Milk

1 tsp of Salt

¼ tsp of Pepper

1 to 2 lbs of ground lean meat

1/3 cup Ketchup and 3 tbs of brown sugar mix for glaze

Mix together the first 9 ingredients.

BlockquoteNow form into a loaf and place in loaf pan lined with parchment paper for super easy clean up.

Next mix the ketchup and brown sugar mixture together and make a well in the center of the meat loaf. Fill the well in with the ketchup/sugar mixture.

Now, bake in loaf pan for 1hr 15 min on 350 degrees for a yummy meal!

Serve with a salad and potatoes or whatever you wish.

I hope you will try this recipe and let me know what you think, I say it is really yummy and makes for a super sandwich the next day too!

Much Love,

♥♥♥

Making Pies

Today I have been catching up on a few things around my house and doing some stuff for Our Band. One of the things that I have been working on in addition to the above is I have been making pies....miniature pies that is.

I love all things miniature. There is something so sweet about them. Also, I made myself a fabulous lunch. We were gifted the most Beautiful eggplant and a few other goodies.

No one else but me and my daughter's like eggplant so I made some for lunch. It is breaded and fried in olive oil to the greatest perfection then drizzled with a vidalia onion vinagarette. I had a little bit of chicken left over from the other night so I included that with my yummy eggplant.

Here is my recipe for Fried Eggplant:

Cut and slice eggplant to the desired liking. I like mine to be about 1/4 inch.
Dip into an egg mixture (1 egg and a bit of water or milk) I used water this time.
Next dip into breadcrumbs(I found Parmesan Breadcrumbs by Progresso...so good!)
Put olive oil in pan and be generous but not too much that the eggplant will be swimming in it.
Heat up the pan until oil is super hot.
Carefully place the eggplant pieces into the oil and cook until crispy on both sides.
Drizzle with vidalia Vinagarette and serve.

Let me know if you try this recipe or have one to share.

Much Love,
