The Color Pink and French Macarons

I have been obsessed with the color Pink this week and French Macarons.

I was on a mission to find the perfect pink nail color…I found it Yay!!!

It is called Pink Lingerie and is made by Revlon. The best part is it is a speed dry nail polish. I love that!!!

Next, I found a glitter top coat. Gotta have that!!! It has a tint of pink and a brilliant sparkle to it. Of course my manicure would not be complete without the glitter top coat. This particular one is called Pink Glitter (imagine that…tee hee) and is made by Sinful Colors.

I also wanted to share a few of my favorite “pink” pictures. I actually have many but here are a few that I will share now.

This one is my Band in pink lights…I really like how this picture turned out.

Here is a treasure from my Etsy Shoppe…

…and this one is one of my tea pot and tea cup collections of which will soon be available as a stationary set in my Etsy Shoppe.

Pink flamingos..Just love them and have been known to place plastic pink flamingos in friends’ silly but is so much fun…especially since the recipient has no idea about it.

Pink Geraniums…beautiful picture taken by a friend (Tom Messner)

And last but not least…..French Macarons!!!!

So beautiful and yummy.

Here is a picture from the current issue (July/August 2011) of Victoria magazine.

Hope you are having a beautiful week…..and adding some sparkle to your world too.

Much Love,

Whimsy Wednesday

Oh my! This past week has been so busy. Last Tuesday, the band shot a commercial for a local television station. It was really cool to do that and we had some people mention to us that they saw it. Yay!!! Also, the Band performed Friday, Saturday and is always a blast, we all have so much fun making music.
Sunday's performance was an outdoor concert. The Animal Rescue League was there and we helped them to raise money to support their cause. It was a very nice event, This picture of me was taken by my Hubby at the event.
If you would like to see our Band come to your city, check out this link...

Also, I created a new necklace for my shoppe this past week. It is 70's inspired and gypsy like. You can find it here...

...and, I wanted to share the look I chose to wear this past week on my nails.

I am so into glitter it is not even funny!

I hope your world has been filled with glitter this past week. If not, I will leave you with a sprinkle of faery dust.
I hope it helps to brighten up your world!

Much Love,

Milady Leela

Treasured Memories

Today I spent time with a very dear friend. We had breakfast together and then decided to go to our favorite thrift store. We both had a great time shopping and found some cool things. She bought several shirts and I found an awesome dress, a wooden tray, a porcelain owl figurine and a vintage small green bottle. What Fun!!!!

Before going into the store, we discovered a very old cemetery behind the building. We decided to go in and take a look at the old Headstones. For some, that might be kind of strange but we were interested. A snake had been lurking near one of the stones and was just as scared of us as we were of it. "Ha, Ha, look it is a Sidewinder", my friend said. Many of the stones were very, very old dating back to the 1800's. It is amazing to think about that. The history of it all...the people and and what their lives were like back then.

My grandparents on my Dad's side have passed has been many years now, but they were born in 1901. I was 12 when my grand-mother died. I was very close to her and my grand-father. I have so many special memories of them that I treasure. I think of them often and remember those times. I have inherited two portraits of them that I absolutely treasure.

The portraits and my memories will remain special to me always.

Today was one of those days that I will treasure as my friend and I had a great time... together sharing breakfast, coffee, shopping and friendship.

Much Love,
