Whimsy Wednesday Brings Gems and my love for E.L.F

Today is Wednesday and for whimsy I want to share with you my new Nail look for the week. I heard about this nail polish called "Gems" by Milani on a YouTube video and thought it was so pretty. It is a glitter polish(which I love glitter...as you know) but it has flecks of all different colors. Most glitter polish is either gold, silver, iridescent or one particular color of sparkle. I love this because it is so different!!!!! This time I combined it with a rich blue color called "Ciao Bella" by Sinful Colors. I just adore the combination!!!

My technique is as follows:
apply a base coat
apply two thin coats of Ciao Bella
apply two thin or one heavy coat of Gems
finish with a top coat sealer.

On another note...lalalalala.....I was able to get together with my lovely friend Donna for breakfast today. We spent some time catching up over coffee. We talked about so many things and it was a great time spent together. A while ago, I had made some bird feeders and decided to give Donna one of the feeders and a jar full of birdseed to take home.

Below is the tutorial. It is super easy and fun to make.

One last thing, I have been loving E.L.F. cosmetics!!!! How cool is that name? It stands for Eyes, Lips and Face....but I also think it is cool since I love Faery's and elves and all magical creatures. Anyway, The cosmetics are great quality and very affordable so I made a couple of videos regarding my purchase and my review of the product. I also include beauty tips in the videos too. You can find these here or on my Youtube channel. Please check them out, I would love your feedback.

I hope that you are all having a beautiful week!

Much Love,

Welcome November

November has arrived!!!! Today I changed our mantel....

The glass vase holds a collection of corks that evokes memories of lovely pastimes and the abundance of a grateful heart. The feathers symbolize our gratitude for nature. The books symbolize our gratitude for the ability to learn and gain knowledge. The roses symbolize the beauty and fragility of life. The pine cone symbolizes our gratitude for trees and how they provide us clean air in which to breathe. The candles symbolize unity, light and spirituality. The potpourri and rocks symbolize the conservation of nature's beauty...and the pumpkin symbolizes the season and our gratitude to be able to grow things in our own little space we call call a garden.

November also welcomes planning and the creation of gifts for giving. I have been working hard on making lovely little things for friends and family. This is one of the gifts I am creating.

I am also creating new ornaments for our tree this year. I mentioned in one of my YouTube videos that we have a new kitty. She is so rambunctious so I need to have ornaments that will not be as breakable. I truly love this season!!!!
I would love to hear what you are grateful for or what you are creating for gifts this year.
Have a beautiful week!!!

Much Love,

♥♥♥

Royal Cloak by Revlon Nail Polish and Starry Silver Glitter by NYC = Love

I am in love with this Nail Polish look!!!!!!

Apply a base coat to clean nails
Apply two coats of Royal Cloak by Revlon Nail Polish
Apply One coat of Starry Silver by NYC Nail Polish
Finish with a sealer top coat. I prefer to use Poshe' Top Coat....it seals the nails and gives them a shellac like finish.

Give it a try....I think you will love it too.

Much Love,

Whimsy Wednesday Brings Sparkle and Love

Today is Wednesday. The last few weeks on a Wednesday, I have been at the Thrift Shoppe searching for treasures. Today, I find myself home to organize my make-up and nail polish collections and to continue creating the perfect closet for me. My closet is small but I am making good use of what I have to work with and am happy with it. I will have to do a video or blog about it with pictures at some point in the future. My hope would be that I can share that you can make your closet functional even if it is small like mine.....so look for that here soon.

Back to the nail polish....This week I found some amazing polish colors and decided to share my look with you. I call it "Purple Madness."

If you watched my video in the last blog post, you would now that I am obsessed with the color purple at this time. If you have not seen the video, you can go to this link and watch it here: http://youtu.be/Ic61-8RrTxU
With that in mind, I did a cute nail look that shows off my purple obsession mixed with grey and glitter to create a sparkly effect that really rocks!!!!
Below are the colors I used.

I also wanted to share that my friend Denise created a terrarium and gifted it to me. I had no idea that this was coming.....I just LOVE it!!!!

She remembered that I wanted a cutting of the spider plant she was taking care of and so she cultivated it for me until it was ready to be planted. The vase she placed it in is rectangular which makes the terrarium look really interesting. In it, she placed lovely pink stones. It is truly amazing!!!! Did I mention I LOVE it?
Speaking of Terrariums, I am making several of them to give as Christmas gifts. It is funny how Denise and I are on the same path of thought...so cool when you connect that way with your creative friends.
Lastly, I found this gypsy bag at a recent visit to the Thrift Shoppe and had not yet shared it with you....so here it is!
I will probably use it in my closet to store scarves or hosiery....may use it for gypsy potion supplies that I need for the perfume oils I create for my shoppe, I have not yet decided.
Anyway, looking forward to Halloween, it will be here soon.

Much Love,

♥♥♥
