Earlier This Past Week

Jimi and I enjoyed a surprise lunch at a nice little Pub that we are hoping to get a Musical Duo/Trio Gig at.  We went in only to speak with the owner but ended up enjoying a nice lunch form their fabulous menu.  Jimi had Spaghetti and Meatballs and I had 1/2 of a Rachel Sandwich with a cup of Wedding Soup.  The food was really yummy and it is certainly a place I would go back to again to eat.  You can check it out here:

As far as us getting the Gig....we need to get back to the owner in April for booking after July.  That is just how it goes in the Band Business....

Nesting

Hi there Everyone!!!! I am super happy at the moment about what has transpired over the last week.  We finally have a new couch and loveseat!!! Yay!  I have been wanting to get new furniture for such a long time and on Monday of last week, Thanks to our friends Denise and Marty, we have a new set(well not new but new to us...)  It was so funny how it all happened...I had asked Denise to look on Craig's List for me and  she found a set for herself instead.  Not a problem because we now have what used to be theirs and Jimi and I LOVE it!!!  It looks so good in our space!  The cats love it too...especially Mr. Jackson!

Yesterday, Denise and I went shopping for wall art and we both bought such cool stuff!!!!  Of course this was necessary since we both have to redecorate..haha! The best part is we did not spend that much money!!!  As soon as I get my livingroom together, I will take photo's to share.  I did already move the butterfly painting I created last year and put it over the large sofa...

It looks better there than it did over the TV.  Seems like with Spring around the corner, I am super inspired to clean, redecorate and spruce up my house!!!!  Oh and I should mention, that I am also working on redecorating our bathroom upstairs...it is eventually going to be a place where I can take a bath and get ready in a serene spa like environment.  Photos on that will also be shared..I promise!!!

Anyway, that is what has been happening in my world lately....what is happening in yours?

Fashion and Food

This week as do all the weeks, flew by!  I filmed a few Fashion Video's and shared a couple already with you here in an earlier post.  Check out this one below if you will...Jimi and I went out for a casual date and I wore this look.

First up, Homemade Dumpling Soup.

...and I also made this yummy concoction of potatoes, veggies and sweet sausage.

Valentine's Day 2013

This year as in any other year, Valentine's Day is very special for us!! Jimi and I were married on Valentine's Day so of course it would be. 
Valentine's Day 2013 was shared at one of our favorite places...Cafe Notte!  It is a quaint and romantic restaurant with a flair for amazing style and grace!!!  As it turned out, our Band members also had reservations too so we all were able to chat and listen to the piano player that was there.  Jimi and I had the opportunity to meet the Piano player and he invited me to sing a couple of songs while he played.  That was really cool!!! Take a peek at this lovely place.

Both Jimi and I were very dressed up but I only got one photo of us after we came home.

 Jimi had already changed into his jeans and tee shirt....darn, wished I could have taken a photo of him before he changed!! He was wearing a black Pinstriped Suit with a red shirt and a Jerry Garcia red patterned tie.  Man o Man, he looked so Sharp!!! ....and I in my Red Dress.  I also wore at dinner, a black faux fur wrap that tied in a bow at the front with a black satin bow.  Jimi really liked the wrap, tee hee, I had it for quite a while and he just noticed it now.  Well, I really do not wear it that often anyway and thought that this was a good opportunity to do so.  I must also share that the Red Dress is the one I showed in my latest Thrift Shoppe Video!!!  I absolutely LOVE finding designer clothing on the cheap and rocking it like a million bucks!!! 
Cards and flowers were also a part of this Valentine's Day Celebration.

...and I did also receive a Pandora Inspired Valentine's Day Bracelet.  It is silver with pink Valentine hearts, lips and bling.  The lobster claw clasp is also just the cutest!!! It is a heart shaped lock.  Super cute I say!!!!

To finish this year's celebration....our Band played a Valentine's Day Dance at the Washington Moose Club this weekend. My Mom and Step-Dad came out and our friends Robin and Roger Seeber were there too.  Robin is the most amazing artist not only with her Doll Designs but with her Photography as well.  She took hundreds of photo's of the Band.  This is one that I said that I must have been thinking of Jimi.
