A Day At The Zoo and On The Seeber Farm

Hello There Friends!  Yesterday Jimi and I were invited to spend the day at the Oglebay Zoo with our Friends the Seeber's, Robin and Roger...they are our R and R!  Yes it is true, they live on a farm and we love visiting them...we truly experience Rest and Relaxation when we are with them! I have talked about visits with them before here on my blog and shared some photo's too. Anyway, today we went to the Zoo!

Robin drives the train there so of course we took a train ride.  Robin's Dad also spent the day with us and he really enjoyed himself.  I must say, we all enjoyed ourselves! After the Zoo, we went to dinner...Jimi ordered Country Fried Steak.

I ordered Grilled Salmon.

Then...after our meal, we spent a bit of time on their farm...

 and we were gifted with some fabulous vegetables from their Garden to take home.

What a great day it was!!!  We are so looking forward to spending time there again and with them soon♥

Food and Friendship

My Friend Donna and I have not been able to spend time together in quite a while.  We are both so busy and especially in the Summer it seems.  Anyway, Donna and I were able to have a breakfast meeting last week to catch up on things!  Breakfast was so yummy!!! We both ordered the same thing.

We both have Birthday's in May and had not had time to exchange our gifts either so we finally did at our meeting.

 Also, For those of you that follow me; you know that Donna and I sometimes film DIY's together for my YouTube Channel...  we were able to plan our next project for filming at our breakfast meeting too.  Please stay tuned for it here: http://www.youtube.com/miladyleela 

I would have to say it was not only a productive meeting but it was a great time enjoying Food and Friendship with my Lovely Friend Donna!

Celebrating!

Hello there Friends! This past week was a Celebration!  My Jimi turned 60 years old on July 2nd. and Celebrate we did!!!! Look for a "Day In The Life" vlog on my YouTube Channel soon but for now, I will share some Photo's!  I do believe that Jimi had a Great Celebration!!!! On the day of his Birthday, I took him to dinner and on a sightseeing cruise of our Lovely City!

Next.....A lovely Sightseeing Cruise of our City!

The next day, we celebrated more with a day at the Rivers Casino and a Concert featuring Beatle Mania Magic!

and Finally on the Third Day, July 4th....

A day at PNC Park for a Pittsburgh Priates Game against the Philadelphia Phillies with Friends...Marty and Denise Costanza.

....Then back to the Rivers Casino for more fun!

We finished out the day with another Concert...this time a Tribute to Rod Stuart.

and of course....Fire works over our Pittsburgh Three Rivers~

It was truly a Grand Time celebrating 60 years of Jimi's Life!

Breakfast,Coffee,Chit Chat,DIY and of Course, Kitties!

Last week, my Friend Donna and I met for Breakfast at my house.  I cooked farm fresh brown eggs that were gifted to Jimi and me from our friends Robin and Roger when we made candles with them.

  Donna cooked our bacon...she taught me a little trick that makes cooking bacon so much easier....hmmm, maybe a DIY on that? Yeah, I am thinking that would be cool, so I won't reveal the trick as of yet.  Patience, my friends!  I will have to get together with Donna to film the Bacon Trick Video.  Anyway, breakfast was yummy.

 It was such fun to film with her again!  I think it has been since Christmas time that we did the last one.

Nesting

Hi there Everyone!!!! I am super happy at the moment about what has transpired over the last week.  We finally have a new couch and loveseat!!! Yay!  I have been wanting to get new furniture for such a long time and on Monday of last week, Thanks to our friends Denise and Marty, we have a new set(well not new but new to us...)  It was so funny how it all happened...I had asked Denise to look on Craig's List for me and  she found a set for herself instead.  Not a problem because we now have what used to be theirs and Jimi and I LOVE it!!!  It looks so good in our space!  The cats love it too...especially Mr. Jackson!

Yesterday, Denise and I went shopping for wall art and we both bought such cool stuff!!!!  Of course this was necessary since we both have to redecorate..haha! The best part is we did not spend that much money!!!  As soon as I get my livingroom together, I will take photo's to share.  I did already move the butterfly painting I created last year and put it over the large sofa...

It looks better there than it did over the TV.  Seems like with Spring around the corner, I am super inspired to clean, redecorate and spruce up my house!!!!  Oh and I should mention, that I am also working on redecorating our bathroom upstairs...it is eventually going to be a place where I can take a bath and get ready in a serene spa like environment.  Photos on that will also be shared..I promise!!!

Anyway, that is what has been happening in my world lately....what is happening in yours?

Valentine's Day 2013

This year as in any other year, Valentine's Day is very special for us!! Jimi and I were married on Valentine's Day so of course it would be. 
Valentine's Day 2013 was shared at one of our favorite places...Cafe Notte!  It is a quaint and romantic restaurant with a flair for amazing style and grace!!!  As it turned out, our Band members also had reservations too so we all were able to chat and listen to the piano player that was there.  Jimi and I had the opportunity to meet the Piano player and he invited me to sing a couple of songs while he played.  That was really cool!!! Both Jimi and I were very dressed up but I only got one photo of us after we came home.

 Jimi had already changed into his jeans and tee shirt....darn, wished I could have taken a photo of him before he changed!! He was wearing a black Pinstriped Suit with a red shirt and a Jerry Garcia red patterned tie.  Man o Man, he looked so Sharp!!! ....and I in my Red Dress.  I also wore at dinner, a black faux fur wrap that tied in a bow at the front with a black satin bow.  Jimi really liked the wrap, tee hee, I had it for quite a while and he just noticed it now.  Well, I really do not wear it that often anyway and thought that this was a good opportunity to do so.  I must also share that the Red Dress is the one I showed in my latest Thrift Shoppe Video!!!  I absolutely LOVE finding designer clothing on the cheap and rocking it like a million bucks!!! 
Cards and flowers were also a part of this Valentine's Day Celebration.

...and I did also receive a Pandora Inspired Valentine's Day Bracelet.  It is silver with pink Valentine hearts, lips and bling.  The lobster claw clasp is also just the cutest!!! It is a heart shaped lock.  Super cute I say!!!!

To finish this year's celebration....our Band played a Valentine's Day Dance at the Washington Moose Club this weekend. My Mom and Step-Dad came out and our friends Robin and Roger Seeber were there too.  Robin is the most amazing artist not only with her Doll Designs but with her Photography as well.  She took hundreds of photo's of the Band.  This is one that I said that I must have been thinking of Jimi.
